Title: Passenger list to Australia 1858-1860 Looking for James and Patrick VALLENCE
Post by: lilyoz on Wednesday 22 August 07 10:36 BST (UK)
Hi,

Can anyone please assist me in finding two brothers Patrick and James Vallence (Vallens) coming from Ireland to Australia between 1858 and 1860.  Their brother had emigrated earlier to Victoria, but on Patricks death certificate it states he had been in Queensland and Victoria. James' states only being in Victoria.  Think they may have come out together but not sure.

Regards
Lil

Hi Lil,
We might need a few more particulars to have a look around for your people.

What was their brother's name, [their brother had emigrated earlier] Their parents' names would help too.

As you have the death certificate of Patrick  you will have some details.

"Think they may have come out together"
Who?

Looking forward to hearing,
Sue

Well,
Sorry, but I am very confused now.
Are you 2 chatters the same person?
Who is asking the questions and what are you hoping to find out?
OR
Is lizoz saying to lilyoz...'I can answer your queries as I am related to these men?'

I think the latter, Sue!  ;)

Lizoz, maybe you could post some details here for Lilyoz and the rest of us to see...do you have the shipping details Lilyoz was after?

Cheers
Prue

P.S.  Welcome, both of you, to Rootschat  :D

Hello Sue,
I had no idea there had been a response to this post, so sorry.
Henry was the brother who came to Australia in 1855 aboard the "Boomerang".
Their parents were George Vallence (Vallens) and Honora Moloney of Galbally, Limerick.
I am wondering if Patrick and James came out together sometime between 1858 and 1862.
Patricks death certificate of 1874, states he was born in Limerick and spent 12 years Queensland and Victoria.
He was married in 1863.
I am ultimately trying to find out the parents of George Vallence - their father, who was born c.1800

Kind regards
Lily (Australia)

Dear Lily,

I am descended from Patrick Vallence who came from Co. Limerick with his brother James to Australia. I am interested in finding out when/how/why they came out and who their parent, grandparents were.
