Title: Lander Road School, Liverpool

My father- John Jones -received some education at London Road School (sorry, it's Lander Road School) , Liverpool somewhere between 1902 and 1906.I wonder if anyone could have any information about the exact date.He was born at Penglogor ,Llansannan, Denbighshire on January 20th 1889.I would be so pleased if anyone could help me.

It was Lander Road and not London Road School that my father attended.Sorry about the error!

Hi eric,

I have been to the records office today. I couldn't find the school you mentioned. Although, I know there is a primary school there still. It is simply known as Lander Rd Primary School. It may have had another name at the turn of the century. Unfortunately, I'm not very familiar with that part of Liverpool.

Hopefully another rootschatter may help us with a name. I can then have another look for you next time I visit the records office.

Thanks for your prompt reply.It was called Lander Road School when my father was a pupil there sometime in early 1900 as he entered University College in 1906.
It would be interesting to know when and how long he was there .Thanks again for your help.

I'm sorry for bringing up this topic I posted quite some time ago, but I was wondering if anybody could find any details of attendance at Lander Road School in Liverpool for me please for a John Jones.

The Lander Road where there is now a primary school is not in the Liverpool city area it is located in Litherland, Merseyside. The local authority is Sefton Borough Council.
