Hello
I'm wondering if anyone knows if St Annes Catholic Church in Ancoats, Manchester, has their records from the 1850'5 ?
I have family in the area who were married there and I'm hoping their children may be recorded as well

I was able to get baptisms from the St Anne's registers from the church itself but that was many years ago. I do not know if they will have had to give them in to the archives by now.

I was able to get baptisms from St Anne's Catholic Church, Ancoats dated in 1857 after one of my forebears left St Patrick's Catholic church, Livesey church. From the latter I received both marriage and baptismal entries 1843 and 1846. There are or were nuns who were archivists. They were extremely obliging but I always gave a donation for the time and troble spent in answering queries

Thanks Kenhar and Gatacre
I've written to the church but I've not had a reply. I was just wondering if I should give up completely.
Maybe I'll phone.
