does any one know how I can check the old files of renfrewshire - have a thomas cullen b 1804 old church renrewshire scotland - tks bambie

Try the local history library first and ask them.

They were able to help me with my Poor Relief Staments and Trade Records.

hi, just noticed your message - i live in the county of renfrewshire which takes in towns such as Paisley, Johnstone and Renfrew.

i would also suggest Scotlands People which is a free search

Is the records are not on Scotland;s people then this means they were not Established Church of Scotland. That doesn;t mean the records aren;t there but you;d need to contact the National Archives Scotland to see what they have.

I am a Paisley buddy myself and have found a lot of mione non c of S . NAS have helped a lot. Not found em all but more than I hoped!#

thanks for your help pettsy - bit late but have been so busy here at home - looking for my 3rd gt granda
john johnson b 26 may 1802 scotland and his wife whom he married in 1836 scotland helen mofsam b 21 aug 1801 scotland they moved to spittle nothumberland
