Title: Ross-shire Buffs

Looking for a source to write to for information about a soldier in the Ross-shire Buffs circa 1812-1818. Have the discharge papers. Wondering if information is available concerning family details, where signed-on, where stationed, etc.

Hi might be worth a visit to the Regimental Museum @ For George nr Inverness.

I'd also recommend simply telling us his name and what you know about him so far.
There are plenty of knowledgeable people on the forum, we may be able to find something specific  :)

Thanks for the guidance. I contacted the museum at Fort George and although they could find no record, they were most helpful as to where to try next.
