Title: Starr Family

I am searching for any further information on the family of Timothy Starr and his wife Margaret (maiden name Roach) from Portroe Tipperary.   Their son Denis (b 1816) and his wife Bridget (b 1829) (maiden name Martin from Killaloe Co Clare) came to Australia in approx 1853.  They had 9 children: Mary b 1854, Timothy (died), Denis b 1858, Margaret (died), John 1863, Lizzie, Nellie, Annie and Catherine (died).  Denis died in 1896.  Bridget died in 1913.   They lived in Bendigo, Victoria.   Denis was a miner.

Any information would be much appreciated.

Quite a few Starrs from  around Portroe went out to Vermont USA about the same time to work  in the slate quarries. The name is no longer around this part of Vermont but there are quite a few in the parish cemetery
