Post by: byott on Wednesday 15 December 04 01:45 GMT (UK)
Hello all.

Can any one please help. A place called Home of Recovery in Barrow upon soar Rothley  Leicester. May have been a workhouse & part of the building being used for sick service men .

Trying to track my  G  great uncle who was there in 1919 and died there feb 1919 suffered from shell shock. & he commited suicide there 3 months later. I have his death certificate. & it states the above Hospital. he had been in the war for over 3 years. Could any one be so kind as to do a search in Local paper. Of suicides of that time.

I now live in Australia. His name is Fredrick charles Byott

Hi Sandra,

You might try contacting the  "britregiments"  group mailing list  at http://groups.yahoo.com.  They do not specialize in geneaology, but are helpful to those of us with military questions.

Merry Christmas!  :-)
