Hi, would it be possible for someone out there to look up a marriage on the St Hilary Parish Records please? The marriage of Abraham GEORGE and Eliza LEGGO took place on 29th September 1830 and I am wondering if either of the father's are mentioned, in particular, Abraham's.
I am having trouble finding the correct birth record for Abraham and this may help solve my problem. ???
Thanks.

Hi Rosemary,
Sorry but fathers are not listed at marriage until after civil registration began in 1837 :'(
The best you can hope for from the full entry is that the witnesses are of help.
Cheers Kris :D

Thanks Kris for your help. That's a real shame - now what?!! :'(

Hi me again Kris, Would the record have his age on it?
Cheers Rosemary

Hi Rosemary,
Sorry No it would not.
It would say something like
Abraham GEORGE OTP (if he was not of the parish it may list [sojourner/of "parish Name"] would list if he stated he was widowed =
Eliza LEGGO OTP ( spinster or other details as listed for Abraham)
29 Sep 1800 St Hilary parish church by Banns/Lic with the "consent of all parties" (if a minor it may say "consent of parents"/may not (Vicars name)
Signature or Mark of both parties - Vicars signature
Signature or mark of the of 2 witnesses
If they were both OTP as you can see all there is is 2 witness names which may or may not be of help
Does he not survive long enough to make any census records? Did he leave a will?

Hello
According to 1851 and 1861 census he was born 1801.
On IGI an Abraham George was baptised 17/3/1801 in Kenwyn, son of Abraham and Jane
Maybe this is the chap ?
