Hi I had the following reply to a posting

RG10/ 1044/ Folio 6/ Page 3 - Hailsham Road, Hellingly, Sussex

but do not seem to be able to open the .gif file.Iget an error message saying "not allowed to view or download".

I have no problems with any other postings.

Can anyone help?

 Are you able to right-click (on the gif file) with the mouse and do a Download or save on the image?

Some boards do not allow attachments, or the ability to view or download attachments that were previously posted.
The boards that have this "feature" are generally the lookup request boards.  ;)

Have tried your suggestion and it downloads as a html file called index - but file is blank.

Hi Tristan

It is a "lookup request" board bu seem to have been able to view other attchment without any problem.

Am now baffled

Have sent message to Chris who posted - so will keep fingers crossed.

No other attachments should be viewable in the "lookup request" boards either.

Hi : I am also having problems with gif files. Mine came from someone re census. tried everything to open and all I get is a small gif picture of a small v. Is there a program that changes the files into readable ones or does the person sending theinfo have to write everything out.
