Hello!

Trying to locate info on a Bridget Law who married Denis Moore in Ireland. She would have been born ~1818. He was from Queens County, I don't know if she was.

Thank you so much,
Brenda Perkins

No Not at present unless the can provide evidence why it should.
It will be true that the has to be a few cross/corruption of the names (a taken as o etc)

Hello,
I am new to this site and found it in my search for my g grandmother Jane Lucy Law.
She married my g grandfather Richard Beeching in 1890 and according to the 1901 census, was bron in Teynham abt 1873.
However I have been unable to find a birth record for her or indeed any reference to her before she married.
I am absolutely stuck and would dearly love to find who her parents were.
Please can you help?
Regards
Janette

New to this board. I am looking for info on the Law surname. I have info on Edmund Francis Law,born 1811 Northampton St Sepulchre. He was an architiect ,/scholar /Justice of the peace. I also have his children's names. His wife was Sarah, surname  not known
What I need now is his father's name and wife's name and where they were from and any other info  . Any info on his work as an architect would be appreciated also,he did a lot of work on church's in Northampton as well as the entrance building to a well known cemetery in Northampton to which a drawing done in 1857 in pencil and watercolor was sold at an auction in 1991 in London.
Thank you all for any info.

Thanks

Hello I am new here and was searching for more information for my children.  They are Laws on their father's side originally McLaws according to their Grandmother who has passed on.  She informed me some of the history behind the family however, I don't know very much other than they came from Scotland.  I am now a kilt maker and would like to find the family Tartan however have had no luck in finding it.  Could you help?

Thank you.

Hi Serena

We can help with your LAWS research, we cover McLAWS but as yet have never linked the two families so would be great to hear from you.

Regarding the Tartan I am advised by Bob McLaren of Clan Mclaren Society of North America that the clan claim  LAWS as a sept of the clan.

I as registrar of the LAWS FAMILY REGISTER have joined the Clan McLaren Society in Scotland, and will advise whether we may use the Clan McLaren tartan

I don't suppose you have any information regarding Ellen Lawes, born 1870 in Booton, Norfolk. I've got her on a passenger list going to St John, New Brunswick, Canada on the Lake Manitoba on 23 Mar 1906 but nothing after that
