Hi
Be very much obliged if anyone can find a death for a Elizabeth Brindley between November 1795 and March 1797.
The area would be East Cheshire (Macclesfield/Congleton) or the Cheshire/ Staffordshire borders, Leek maybe.
many thanks

She doesn't seem to appear on my NBI, Peter, in either Cheshire or Staffs :( :( :(

Hi
Thanks for looking, bit of a mystery this lady, she was married to a Samuel Brindley and had a son James baptised 7/Nov/1795 at St Oswalds Brereton, then in 1797 Samuel as a widower married Martha Shaw and they had a son Henry baptised at St Mary Astbury 11/Nov/1798.
Both sons and father Samuel were millers in and around the Congleton/Leek areas. All well documented.
But where and when did Elizabeth die ?

I've now found an Elizabeth Brindley 10 July 1798 Audley, St James, Staffs. Nothing earlier :(
Any good?

Added - did Martha die in 1799, St John the Baptist, Burslem ? No Brindley burials in Brereton, 1761-1825 :(

Hi Peter
Sorry - nothing for her on Macclesfield Ferrets MI CD. Couldn't see any likely candidates for the other names either but there were quite a few other Brindleys if you are interested.

Hi Gadget
Don't think either of them are mine, the Elizabeth death is a year to late, can't be sure re the Martha death I think possibly the family were still in the Leek area at that time.
Thanks for looking :)

Hi Milly :)
Thanks anyway for looking, I do have a large database of all the Macclesfield/Congleton Brindley's but very little for the Leek/Cheadle ones which I think is where I am going to find an answer.
Thanks for the offer, very good of you :)

Hello Peter,
I wondered if the attached photo was of interest.
It was taken just a short distance from the Kings Head Public House at Gurnett near Macclesfield:
