Hi. I.m amazed you located so much for me. I was beginning to think I'd never get started again. I have been reseaching only for a couple of years and sometimes all the sites overwhelm me, there is so much to learn, but fascinating. But thak-you, thank-you.
Can I ask, what is I.G.I extract ?
Thank-you and take care....Joyce(Canada)

the IGI is the international geneological index taken from the mormons site latter day saints.
as far as i know there are two kinds of records submitted and extracted the submitted ones don't seem to be that reliable.they are sumbmitted by a member of the public.
the extracted records are much more reliable
i believe they are extracted bits taken from the original records.
i'm sure if i have got this wrong some other roots chatter will write in and correct me.
do you want me to look further back and forward with regard to the hall family.

Hi, Thanks for the info regarding I.G site.
I have Edwin /Elizabeth ,myggggrandparents, from 1851 onwards to 1901 from Census. anything you could find regarding William and Martha would be a wonderful bonus, what I have been pondering over is where William s birthplace. But any info you find will fill in gaps for me i'm sure.
Do you have any ideas regarding william and marthas address in 1841 .Brimfield Common? common what? common ground,
common field? I am really puzzled over that.
Thanks again for the interest and all the help' Joyce.

William Hall marries Martha Mason in May 1815 at Brimfield.
-
Hi. Is there anywhere that I can get a copy of their marriage cert.? I have purchased copies of certs after 1837. William and Elizabeth onwards. That is the only way I know of to trace parents names and possibly birthplaces. If this question seems dumb I apologize,I really do have a lot to learn about research, right now I do it by trail and error.
Thank-you once again for all your help. you are a star! Joyce

No birth marriage or death certificates were issued before 1837, before then the records are only in the Church registers which are usually held in County Record Offices and most of which have been transcribed onto the IGI.
It is unlikely that any further details will be on the entry except for the names of the Minister and the witnesses
-
To find William's place of birth i would suggest that you look on the 1851 Census where he and Martha were still in Brimfield
-
williams birthplace is down as brimfield, herefordshire
martha's birthplace is down as yeaton, shropshire.
taken from 1851 census
-

Hi, OOPS!!! I should have realised that, I got carried away with the information I recieved and I posted without thinking it through correctly, Sorry,
Thanks for all the help, I have found James James (farmer) with a couple of the daughters on '61 census. William and Ann no trace I am now checking deaths.
Once again for all the time and trouble you have gone to on my behalf, THANK-YOU
JOYCE.

In 1851 I can only see Esther, Angelina and Suzanna on the Census in Kingsland.
There is a death for a William Lawrence in Kingsland in 1845, and an Ann Lawrence in 1847. To make sure these are the ones you want you would have to get the Death Certificates from Leominster Register Office, and ask that WIlliam is down as a miller, and Ann his Widow,

Hi, I have also an Angelina Lawrence born to William and Ann Lawrence on abt 15 Feb 1830.Waterloo Mill, Kingsland, But I do thank you so much for the other names some I had and I have now filled in gaps.
I am somewhat confused by the marriage of Wi8lliam Hall to Ann James 1815 @Kingsland. I am wondering if this William is a brother to George Hall, who would be my 5th gen. grandfather, the Ann James????
The William Hall married Martha Mason on 4th May 1815 at Brimfield.is my 4th gen. This is all coming at me at once and it is so exciting, I have been at a brick wall for a long time. Where do you find all this info:??
I sincerley thank you. Joyce.

Sorry I have muddled you, I was getting excited about the Thomas Hall you have in this post. What happened to him ?

Hi, Thomas Hall, son of William and Martha Hall(nee Mason) brother to Edwin Hall, witness to the marriage of Edwin and Elizabeth Lawrence. That's the total of my information re;Thomas
I did get a little confused with the William Lawrence and Ann James thing, but hey!! its easy to get confused with all these Williams going in both sides of the family. I would never accuse you of confusing me, I do a fine job all on my own.....Ha Ha..Take care..Joyce.
