Thanks to NicoC re Oswald Watkins. Sorry no connection.
Also to Sandra Bills re Ann Prosser nee Shergold. My Thomas

Only one PROSSER in my family;
Helen PROSSER b.? married in 1815, in the Parish of Marylebone, to Charles Joseph (de) BELIN b.1790. They moved to France (Charles had English School there). They had one child Julia b.1816, Lyon, France. Helen d.1824, Le Havre, France, described as "daughter of the late Major PROSSER of the Royal Artillery".
I am descended from Charles' 2nd marriage, not to Helen PROSSER.

Our family is Watkins. My husband's 2nd great grandfther was John Watkins (abt 1828 – 1883) born in Llantillo Crossenny.
He married Elizabeth Sykes and they had 9 sons & 1 daughter... eldest born in Llantillo Crossenny and youngest in Llangenney. Their son, Thomas H Watkins immigrated to NY state and is my husband's GGrandfather. He is the one we have definate information on.
Am new to board, so please excuse my enthusiasm & errors! We are excited to find relatives to find in Wales & make a 'pilgrimage' to my husband's roots!
