I’ve hit the good old brick wall researching the Kimberlin family of Market Bosworth.
I’ve managed to trace the line as far as Nathaniel Kimberlin (Inkeeper of the Wheatsheaf), his wife Mary (nee Owner) and 5 children. They were married 16/12/1771 at St. Michaels , Coventry and their children were all baptised at St. Peters, Market Bosworth:-
John Thomas bapt. 16/10/1772
Thomas bapt. 2/08/1776
Edward bapt. 4/01/1779
Jane bapt. 26/01/1781
Ann bapt. 2/01/1784
Mary was buried 29/03/1796, again at St Peter’s, with Nathaniel joining her 28/01/1802. I have visited the Church, but was unable to find their headstone.
A search of the St. Peter’s parish registers have drawn a blank for Nathaniel’s baptism.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

given that the name is fairly uncommon, does an IGI search show it elsewhere in the timeframe ?

Thanks for the reply Newf.
Just had a look at IGI and there are a couple of records that look interesting:-
Marriages: THOMAS KIMBERLIN
Spouse: HANNAH WOODWORTH Family
Marriage: 07 MAY 1747 Saint Mary, Leicester, Leicester, England
THOMAS KIMBERLIN
Christening: 16 JUL 1753 Cadeby, Leicester, England
Parents:
Father: THOMAS KIMBERLIN
Mother: ANN ( could be the same Thomas & Hannah as above)
Cadeby is near Bosworth, so it might be worth checking the Parish registers here.
