I`m back on the hunt for information regarding, Jonathan or Jonathan Emmerson PEARSON he was born circa 1820 and his father was Robert PEARSON a Miner.
A fellow Pearson researcher gave me a baptism which I`d like to follow up on. Jonathan Emmerson Pearson baptised 1819 of West Herrington, Houghton le Springs.
Could someone look for this family in 1841 ? I think I may have Jonathan in 1851 but the information conflicts with some other.
I havn`t yet found him in 1841, so he could be still with his family. He`s sometimes call Jonathan, Jonathan Emmerson and even J.E.Pearson.
Thanks for any help.
George.

There is a Jonathan Pearson living in Merrington aged 20 in the 1841 - he does not have the same surname as the others in the house.
There is also a Robert Pearson born about 1796 (out of county) living with a wife, Margaret aged about the same in Houghton le Spring district. They have other children Thomas aged about 20 and Margaret aged 9.
Could this be them?

Hi George
In the 1841 Jonathan is living in Chilton village in Merrington - head of the household is an Ann Turnbull who is about 65. There is also a Thomas Robson who is about 25 and is marked as Ag Lab and under that Jonathan looks like he has Do. next to him which I presume to be ditto.
Looking at the Robert Pearson scan I don't think it is the right one as he none of the family is born in county (not even Margaret who is seven) and he is not a miner he is a labourer (albeit in Hetton-le-Hole which is a mining town). However..............
I did a search on the IGI for Jonathan's christening and what came up was for a Jonathan Emerson Pearson christened in Whickham 17 May 1789 son of Robert and Sarah. I presume this is the brotherof your Robert as the couple also have a son, Robert c. 15 May 1791 at Whickham.
I also found YOUR Jonathan's christening on 3 Oct 1819 in Houghton on Durham Records online.

Sorry for the very late reply Ashley,
I`ve been recovering from a heart attack and it`s taken me a while to catch up with all the angles I was looking at, just noticed this one I hadn`t responded to.
Thanks for you help and the additional information.

Feeling great apart from being cream crackered most of the time, but no pain.
Thanks once again for the help.
I did get a message this time telling me there had been a reply to my posting. I don`t remember getting one before. Either way sorry for the lapse.
Regards.
George.
