Title: Suffolk SHARMANS

Hi, All

Looking for help again, please.

My husband's 4 x g grandparents are William Sharman and Judith.  We have been unable to find a marriage on the IGI so do not know Judith's surname plus have not found a birth/baptism for William on the IGI.

They had 14 children (that we know of) between 1774 and 1795 in Bardwell.

Any help anyone can give would be very welcome.

If no one can help with this, it might be worth contacting the volunteer who offers lookups from the Bardwell Registers at The Suffolk Surname List.

Hi, I looked at Bardwell marriages PR today but could not see a marriage for a William Sharman.  I checked from 1759 to 1784.

Marriage for Frances,  but if there had been parents mentioned, I imagine it would have been posted as well.... :-\  but wouldn't hurt to have the lookup just in case...

Hi,
I have recently started doing my maternal side of my family tree and have Sharmans from Suffolk in there.  My great grandmother was Ethel Sharman born South Cove Suffolk 1881.  The furthest back I've got is c1795, and wonder if you can help me if you're researching the same name.  My ancestor Robert Sharman was born 1795 in Uggeshall Suffolk, but I can't find a birth entry on the IGI.  He married Dinah Springer in 1816 in Beccles in Suffolk - can you tell me, is Beccles close to Uggeshall ( i don't know the area at all) as there is a submitted entry of a birth for Robert Sharman on the LDS for Beckles in 1795, which would be a starting point for me to dig deeper.

Also, if you think I may have any info that would be of any help please contact me.

Yes, Uggeshall is near Beccles.

At the moment I dont think we will be of much use to each other as our Sharmans are in different parts of Suffolk.
