Hi Phil O'Delphia (like the name!)  and welcome to Rootschat,

Did you know that the Wybunbury parish registers have been transcribed up to about 1870 and are available online at http://www.csc.liv.ac.uk/~cprdb/?  Might help you piece together a bit more information.

If we can help with more specific queries just post a new topic on the relevant county board and we will do our best!  ;D

Hi Jean,

Thanks for the info about Wybunbury records. Was not aware of that & it will now be easier than threatening to drag the family upto Cheshire to do a bit of research. They weren't 100% happy last time I haunted the graveyard to locate ancestors.

Cheers
John

Hi

Only just seen your message regarding the Cooke family of Haslington.  My mother's maiden name is Cooke and she grew up in the village.  Have plenty of info and would love to swap notes with anyone that might be interested.

Regards
