Are you related to Percy Avery? My surname was Bridge. Jessie Avery was my dad's sister, married to Percy Avery. They initially lived with my grandparents @ Pine Cottage. I don't think I have their marriage cert, but have been researching Percy's brother Charles, who emigrated to Illinois if you are interested. E L Bridge was Edward, not Edwin.

Hello Pamela,
I'm not related to this particular AVERY family. Whilst I was trying to find a marriage for my g-grandmother's cousin, I bought this one but it was for a different Percy.
If you want the copy of the marriage certificate for your own records I'll happilly send it to you in the post. Just let me know.
Regards
Derek.

Hi Derek,
It's so kind of you to offer to send the certificate or copy of it to me. When I have completed 3 Posts I will be able to use the PM system to let you have my address; are you in the UK? I discovered that Percy's father, Thomas, was also a photographer, like my grandfather - Edward Law Bridge so it's likely that is how my aunt came into contact with him - interesting...

Hi again Pam,
Yes, I'm in the UK. I live in London. Ancestry is from Yorkshire, Lancashire, Staffordshire, Shropshire and Suffolk premdominently, although I've relatives all over the world now.
Hopefully you'll be able to share you details so I can get the certificate out to you now :-)
Regards
Derek.

Thanks Derek, I'll be in touch. I'm new to all this but excited to find there are so many Avery's. I've found there are an abundance of Avery's in Illinois, including Percy's brother & family, so perhaps that is another area you can look at...! Pam
