Could sks please look up an ISAAC CARRICK on both the 1891 and 1901 census please??
He was born 1886 in New Seaham and i believe he should be residing in Easington on both the census'.
Info for the 1891 is:
Piece 4112
Folio 41

Easington.
Im hoping there will be a MILLICENT REYNOLDS living nearby the Carrick family in the 1901 census at least.

Hello Emma
Sheila seem to have gone offline but I am sure she will be back with the details from 1901. In the meantime, briefly.....
In 1901 the Carricks are living in South Shields (RG13/4732 Folio 114 Page 17) at 52 Robinson Street.
There is no Millicent Reynolds in the immediate vicinity but there are two ladies of that name living in County Durham.
One was born 1898 in New Seaham and is still living there in 1901. The other was born 1895 in Haswell and is living in Heworth in 1901.

Thanks for that DS! I look forward to the details!
It will be difficult to know which Millicent is mine then without the marriage cert! Millicent Reynolds married Isaac Carrick in 1912 in Easington, i did notice that there were 2 ladies born with the same name within years of each other but as i dont the area of Durham at all well i didnt know which would be most likely for the Easington area!
Marriage cert it will have to be.
Thanks again DS!

Perhaps this will help decide which Millicent
New Seaham Christ Church marriage: Millicent Reynolds, daughter of Walter Reynolds, deceased, married Isaac Carrick, son of William Carrick, deceased, on 16 Oct 1912.
The other Millicent married in 1919.

Hi Emma,
Millicent Reynolds was my Great aunt Millie, she was born 1895 in Haswell, Durham, she married Issac Carrick and was my grandmothers sister Mary Jane Reynolds becoming a Boughen.
What is your connection?
Best regards

I have only joined this site today. Mary Ann Carrick and George William Laws, were my grandma and grandad on my fathers side. I remember my dad mentioning Isaac, although I never met him as far as I can remember. (I was born in 1950)
Please contact if you would like any information on this branch of the family.

My name is Maureen and Isaac was my grandmothers brother. My grandmother was Mary Ann Carrick and she married George William Laws. My dad often used to speak of Isaac, Millie, Walter and Mary. I was born in 1950 and I met Mary Carrick, but I don't remember meeting the others. I have only joined rootschat today and I am amazed at the names I recognise.
If you want any information on this branch of the family let me know.
Regards
Maureen

Hi,
I just happened to Google, Carrick family, Seaham and came across this link. Millicent and Isaac Carrick were my grandparents, I never met them as both died before I was born.
It is nice to read the bits of information what you have found, I have nobody to ask as my mam, (Milly and Isaac's daughter, Mary) died in 1999, so any other interesting info you have found let me know, I would be so grateful, thank you.

Hello Maureenh, I'd be grateful for any details you have of the Carrick Family. My cousin is a Laws and mentioned that Mary Ann was her grandmother.
