Title: Albany Public Elementary School - COMPLETED
Post by: valster on Tuesday 17 July 07 12:52 BST (UK)
We have a photo of some student's outside this school building, their board is marked with the school name and the year 1924.  My grandmother was in Ireland with her relatives and we assume that she is in the photograph.  Does anyone know if this school was in Tyrone possibly around Carvan or Aughamullen.  Thanks

Certainly the school was in Tyrone, as you will see at:

There is\was also a Presbyterian congregation known as Albany.

Presumably it is this area:

If you haven't got an answer by now - here it is. Albany is about 4 mile outside Stewartstown, Co Tyrone on Killycolpy Road in Ardboe, about a mile from Carnan corner. The church is still there but no school.
