Title: Griffin family -Gloucestershire look up
Post by: Wendy Mc on Sunday 12 December 04 04:51 GMT (UK)
I am trying to locate the birth of a James Griffin. His marriage cert. and all children's birth cert. state that he was born in Wales. (which should be correct) However, the death cert. states he was born Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. (this info was provided by his wife).  James came to Sydney Aust. where he married and later died in Sydney 9th April, 1906.
James parents are Joseph Griffin and Ann/e Ewens. Joseph apparently worked on the railways and would have moved around a bit.
Locating James' birth has been a real mystery and I would love to be able to solve it for his g.g.gdaughter.
Sorry there's not much to go on but would really appreciate any help.

cheers,

Wendy
