Hello Jamys
I'm afraid St.Andrews is no more.It was declared redundant in 1985.The church may still be standing but used for some other purpose.I'll have a look and see if I can see it.

It stood in St.Andrews Rd. but the area has now been redeveloped for residential & industrial use.

I have quite a lot of information on this church, including postcards and newspaper articles. My grandfather was in charge of the workforce who restored it in 1933. I would be prepared to send you one of the 3 identical postcards - they show the west wall and the north wall - and I could send copies of other photos and the articles. I realise this comes a long time after the original post but I've been searching for information about this church and have only just discovered this forum.

Hi, I have been searching for a photo of St Anrews's Church, Bordesley for my family tree records as several of my ancestors married there. Whilst searching the internet I came across your request for the same.
Can I be cheeky please and ask whether you have had any luck. If so, could you possibly point me in the right direction please and let me know where I may obtain one from.
With many thanks,
Jan.

This may help locate the former site of St. Andrews. My great grandfather's brother was married there in 1894.

Many, many thanks to all those who contributed to this post. I now know I've passed by the spot many times. These old photos are great and I love the volunteer steeplejacks.

Hello Jamys and I apologise for this intrusion, but I only came across these queries about St. Andrew's Church Bordersley now, as I recently bought some old 78 records and music in an antique shop in Wexford, Ireland, and stuck in between was a "ST.ANDREW'S CHURCH BORDERSLEY CALENDAR, BLOTTER AND YEAR BOOK 1932-33". There is a photo of the church (I assume pre '33), as another person was looking for one , as their relatives worked on the restoration. I could try to copy and attatch (I'm not the best at this), or i could post it to you if it was of any use to either of you.
Kindest regards,
Tony.

The church is bottom centre and the spire was removed some years ago-cheaper than a repair.

Hello Tony
I do now have a picture of the church, thankyou. I've also been in touch with a person who is a relative of someone who was involved in the restoration.
Many thanks
