Title: Frome and Berkley
Post by: paulhill on Monday 16 July 07 16:30 BST (UK)
I have found the marriage of Robert Thresher and Mary Guy in Frome, Somerset on 17th Dec 1713.

She was from Frome and he was from the nearby village of Berkley, Somerset.

I wonder if anyone knows how to find out the names of their parents??

                           Many Thanks, Paul.

Hi Paul

You're doing well, getting that far back.

It'll have to be the parish records at the Somerset RO in Taunton - though they probably won't have the parents names recorded that far back and you may need to look for their baptisms.

Cheers
Ian

I know it's a long shot but thanks for trying.

     Best Wishes, Paul.

Paul,

You could always try WWW.fromeresearch for the Parish Regs. They have a sister site that you can join from the Research site. You'll be spoilt for choice on PRs with some really early ones. They hope to transcribe all the villages within a 10 mile radius of Frome and have made good head way.
Regards
