I am trying to find out some more information about a William Risdale.
All I know about him is that he trained as a vet in York Barracks. He was serving as a vet in the 21st lancers at Dublin Barracks where his son William Edward was born in 1887. William Edward married Lilian Agnes Bowskill in 1918 in Mansfield, Notts.
Does anyone out there know how and from where I can find out any more information about him and his army career?
Thankyou.

All Army service records are held at the Public Records Office at Kew. now called the National Archives.
