Title: FINCH / WILCOCK Connection c.1640
Post by: bbriann on Friday 13 July 07 07:25 BST (UK)
G'day,....
There is assumed to be a strong connection between the Finch family and the Wilcock family  between  the years of 1560  and 1700 in the area around  Rivington ( or Chorley).
There were apparently business associations and marriages  at this time.
Any information , please.
Would be appreciated.   Thanks   Brian

In my family, there was an Ann Finch married a Wilcock many years ago, and in the resulting family, the names Finch and Lawrence were passed down from father to son.
My grandfather and grandmother were from Lancashire and moved to Burton on Trent to run The Burton Box Company in Branston, Burton on Trent, Staffordshire. My dad was Finch Wilcock and his brother was Lawrence. Their older sister was called Ella. I don't know if this helps. :)
