I have been searching for my grandmother born Ann (Annie) Robertson Watt in Strichen to James Watt (1826) and Jessie Willox (1836). James Watt worked in Strichen as a Shoemaker. If there are any people who can help me find some details on this family it would be most appreciated. My grandmother, Ann Watt married my grandfather - James Taylor from Moray.
Please help.
Thanks,

Hi again,
This looks like a possible for mother Jessie's birth on the IGI..going off the census
Jessie Anderson Willox
Birth 14th Feb 1836 Tyrie, Aberdeen
Father William Willox
No mothers name
Its an extacted birth record so more reliable than submitted entries

Hi Susan,
Many thanks for your help in locating that information from the census. You are certainly on the right track. These are my family. What I was hoping for was someone who may be able to help find any living connections. After my grandmother Annie moved to South Africa, she unfortunately died before I was born and I know absolutely nothing about her family other than what you can find in the census.
I would dearly love to speak with anyone who may have a connection to the people you have identified. I don't even have any photos of her and her family.
Again many thanks for your kindness and the research you did for me. Keep in touch.
Kind Regards,
Dubhglas

I am a descendant of Ann Willox, elder sister of Jessie.
Ann married Charles Mitchell & moved to Sunderland.
