Have not been able to find a marriage between these two people who we believe were chapel go-ers. They are both on their childrens birth certificates, Annie as Goodman Jones nee Eames but no marriage found. Ive found a marriage for a Thomas Goodman Jones in Ffestiniog 1896 to Jane Owens which adds confusion !
Anyone able to throw any light ?

about what timescale are we talking about, what year were their children born. is it round about 1890's

Hi
both Ann and Thomas were born 1879 and their children were born 1902 / 6/8 (approx)
thanks for your interest

have had a look on the IGI and ancestry but without any success.

thanks for your interest, Ive checked all the obvious places but hoped someone would throw some light on it somehow !!
There is a marriage of Thomas Goodman Jones in 1896 to another lady so perhaps he married the first lady but not the 2nd or first one died and I just cant find 2nd.....................
watch this space as I hope to solve puzzle somehow !

I don't know if it helps but I've got Eames in my tree (recently added to ancestry.co.uk - you should be able to see them) which has an Annie Eames, and and Anne Eames born in 1876 (no more info that that though).
But what I was going to say is that Eames sometimes is noted as Ames or Aimes (which is how my branch of family says the name - like "aims"), and I've even corrected a few census returns that copied them down as Dawes!!!! Sorry I can't help with the goodman jones marriage, but the alternate spelling or mis-spelling might give you a lead

It is possible she was married before. I have found a couple of mine where the first married surname is not on the birth certificate - just the maiden name
Free BMD as a marriage for Annie Eames Bangor Mar Q 1897, to either a William Hughes or a William Jones.
By the way what was Thomas Goodman Jones' fathers name? Was it Robert Owen Jones by any chance?

Hi there
I have some Eames in my ancestry in the Bangor area - born between 1868 - 1887 and still living there in 1901 census - don't know if this helps in any way - though no Annie Eames I'm afriad.
Do you know the name of her father?
Are you on Genes or Ancestry? I can allow you access to my tree if it assists

I've been doing some transcribing of anglesey birth registers. There are some EMES registered. It might be worth checking under that spelling as well ;)

Thank you, I havent done any research on this family for at least a year, so I need to refresh myself and come back to you. All avenues worth exploring
