Hi folks
It is a little quiet on the board, so I thought I would take advantage ;). This picture of my GGGrandmother is a little worse for wear :-\. Can anyone make her presentable please. It is well past my skills ::). I have a close up of her face which is in much better condition, but I would like to see if the whole picture can be saved if possible ;D
Any help would be appreciated
Cheers
Lones
Sorry, way too big, smaller now
-
Here is the close up, in case it can be used to save the other. Charlotte was born in 1858 in River Leven Tasmania, just for interest's sake
Cheers

Hello Lones,
Is it possible to get a copy of the whole picture . It seems to be taken from an angle . :-\

Hi Lones,
Best regards George
-
Hi everyone, thank you for taking the time to do these for me. It is very much appreciated.
JC, excellent, you have done brilliantly and the colours are lovely, just the kind I like, thank you
Sorry Jim, it's the old story I'm afraid the picture was lent to me and it is a copy someone has taken, I assume with a camera and the original was not square to the camera. I only have the scan now as I have returned the picture to my relative.
George, what more can I say, I love it and I thank you for your wonderful restore. I have saved the larger version you sent.
I do know how time consuming this hobby is, so thank you all for your trouble and know that I really do appreciate what you have done and the skills you have used to do it :)
Thank you

I have just arrived at work and am once again looking at all the wonderful restores that have been done on my Charlotte, they are truly amazing. When you look at what she was, I am amazed at how nice she looks now. It really was beyond my skills and I am so happy that you have all taken the time to do this for me. Thank you all once again. She really is looking lovely now.
Cheers to you all

Here you can pretend she's an Old Master !! ;) ;)
Or do I mean Mistress? ;)
-
Thank you Poll, it's fabulous, I love it!! ;D ;D
As I said in my PM to you, Charlotte's family, especially her mother, have a special place in my heart, I have such a soft spot for them, they really did it hard.
Thank you for all the time you have spent on her, she looks like an aristocrat too, we must be related, don't you think?? ;)
Thank you to everyone for the different versions, Charlotte would be pleased. She died when her family were quite young, and she was only 45 years old and her youngest child was only 4 yrs.
With much gratitude :D

Hi
Saw photo of Charlotte Golding am hoping she is the older sister of my pop John Flurrence Golding his parents where George Golding and Bridget O'Brien Charlotte was married to William Henry Smith she died in Hay in 1903.
Charlotte and Willliam had 9 children 4 born in Victoria and 5 in N.S.W.
Do you think this is the same Charlotte Golding as your GGG Grandmother.
Hope to hear from you soon
Glenise

Hi Glenise
Yes!! Definitely the same Charlotte. How wonderful that you have found my post. This is so exciting. I have 14 children listed for your Pop, is that correct? I am hoping that we can share information. I will give you my email address via personal message, but you need to post 3 times on this forum before that function is available to you (I think it's 3 times, it's a long time since I have been on here). So please do that and we can be in contact privately to share personal details. I can give you all the info I have on Charlotte and her parents. I have her Mum's convict records and her aunt Catherine's convict records too, in case you don't. I went to Ireland in 2010 and went to the village I think Bridget is from, but I have no proof yet. I am flying to England on Friday (29 June) so hopefully we can be in contact before that, I will be gone for 5 weeks....
Oh this is wonderful, I live in Bendigo, where are you from? I am looking forward to your reply
Cheers for now

Hi Lones
Cant belive it your Charlotte is my Pops Charlotte. The photo is a bonus, to be able to put face to name.
My pop and gran only had 12 birth children and raised a boy from birth, they raised 13 children i have only pop and grans births and marriage cert.
You say the had 14 children must get their death certificates.
Did you know Charlotte was informant on my pops birth certificate but she spelt her name Charlotte golding age was 14 years.
By the way i'm not far from you i live in Stawell.
Cheers Glenise
-
Wow Glenise
I go to Stawell sometimes as two of my aunts live there, well one now, unfortunately my aunt Ealine died. Wow, we will have to trade info. I think you need one more post before I can PM you (personal message) we can then trade email details and swap info and photos. I have a photo of Charlottes husband and all of her children too. But sadly none of her mother. I have kind of adopted Bridget as she was only 16 when they sent her here for life. Though she did have a long one, probably longer than she would of had she stayed in Ireland at that time.... This is so exciting.
