 I have located  in the 1851 Census 30 March 1851  at Harper & King STS found:-  (ref 497 from LDS fische) & 2197 .38 Folio 497 (485-509A)
James Senior  38 Butcher born YKS Middleston
Joseph 11 Scholar Born Lan Toxteith
 William 5 scholar      as above
Elizabeth 12 House Servant  born YKS Wakefield
 ann    9   scholar  YKS Wakefield
the birth dates all fit in but I am unable to locate James" s wife Matha (nee Longbottom)  b 1814 Bradford Yks 1851  or any of the family in 1841 it is about then that they moved from WRY YKS to Liverpool Lancashire.

				Hi
They are on the 1841 census in Ossett,Dewsbury,Yorkshire
 James  25 innkeeper
 Martha 25
 Elizabeth2
Joseph 1 and Ann 3 months -also in the house is a Betsey Longbottom aged 15 and a Martha Brown also 15
 Folio 1268/10 page 5
They are all stated as being born in Yorkshire-the 1841 isn't much good for info
I did notice on the 1851 that James is a widower so Martha could have died when William was born or at least prior to 1851-there are too many on the free bmd site to know which one she would be
 regards
 Glenice
