Title: Surname Tutt - Aldington, Kent

I am researching the Tutt surname in the area of Arlington, Kent, and have come to a dead end as follows:

Stephen Tutt born abt 1725 married Ann Ward. Unfortunately I have been unable to find where Stephen originated from, and I have no idea where to start look based on what little information I have. Would appreciate any help or pointers.

Your post is confusing! You mention both ARLINGTON and ALDINGTON. Which one is correct? Aldington is a small village outside of Ashford.
