Looking for Winifred Protheroe born about 1851 in Pynegraich, Breconshire.
She emigrated to New Zealand and married John Robert Neels.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello snwbnnyinoz
I decend from John Robert NEELS' 2nd marriage. After Winifred died he married Louisa PICKETT. Louisa had emigrated from Witney to NZ with some of her family in 1875. John Robert married Louisa 2 Oct 1886 in Morrinsville NZ.
Do you have any knowledge of the Neels in England? The Neels family appear to have moved around a bit I'm guessing following the father who was a Royal marine.
I'm happy to share any information that I may have that is useful to you. Including a fairly awful family photo of JR, Louisa and family including 2? children from his first marriage.
Cheers
Sue

I don't have a lot of information on the Neels family but I do have a little. I just started this research on my husband's side of the family.
My email is sheba_pico @ hotmail.com if you would like to send me an email with whatever information you have.
I've been trying to do up some sort of family tree for my Mother in Law. She lives in Australia and we will be traveling there next year for a visit. We are in Canada so trying to find information from New Zealand is quite difficult.
Hope to hear from you soon
Paula
