Hi Susan,

You can also download his medal index card from the National Archives. It costs £3.50 and will tell you his WW1 medal entitlement.

Just looked on SDGW and it states your Harry Sanderson Born Castleford Enlisted Pontefract.
During my research of a relative who was a casualty and also born in Castleford i went to Castleford Library.
They have a folder which lists all men from the town and a lot of the area around it.This folder gives which edition of the Castleford and Ponteract Express that anything about your man may be mentioned.
I got a casualty list and a 4 line obituary unfortunately no photo but there were family details such as father and address given.
It could be worth giving them a ring to ask if hes mentioned.
