Trying to find the area in England and family that these 2 people were born. I do not have much to go on and I hope someone might be able to help. The names are Thomas Johnson born 1827 in England. He married Jane Marwood who was born 1830 England. They were married in 1857 in Lincoln, Ontario, Canada and he died February 2, 1890 in Lincoln, Ontario.

I did a quick search of the 1841 census for Jane Marwood born 1830+/- 5 years. There are 9 matches that come up and from this, Marwood appears to be a Yorkshire name. The only match for born in 1830 exact is as follows:
Lund, Easingwold, Yorkshire
Jane Marwood, 11, female servant in the house of a family named Noton. she was born in Yorkshire.

There is a Jane Marwood christened in Brompton by Northallerton, Yorkshire on 26 April 1831 in the IGI database. Her parents are Henry Marwood and Ann Foggin. She is in the 1841 census in Brompton aged 10 and in the 1851 census in Darlington aged 19. Nothing thereafter. She might have emigrated, but the rest of her family are in Yorkshire in 1861 and 1871

Doesn't their 1857 marriage cert give any details of their parents,or at least who their father's were?
