Title: Blackmore, Navestock, Laindon PRs - can anyone help please?
Post by: Brambletye on Tuesday 19 June 07 12:35 BST (UK)
I have a William Stone b. between 1792 - 1795 in either Blackmore or Navestock, who married an Elizabeth Horn b. Laindon 1806 - 1811 (on the Censuses, they don't seem to be certain how old they are).

I would like to find baptisms/parents/siblings for them, and a marriage if possible.

Their first known child, Elizabeth Ann, was born in 1834 at Ingrave. They also had Jonathan b. c1840 Little Burstead, George chr. 21.3.1847 Hutton, Sarah Emma b. 21.1.1852 Hutton, but these are the only ones I know of so far.

I don't know about Blackmore and Navestock but if you Google 'SEAX'
it should take you to the website of Essex RO then
click on 'Guest' then
click on 'Image Search' at the right
enter 'Laindon Registers'
and they should be waiting there for you

Excellent!  :D

Many, many thanks - there is my Elizabeth chr. 1809 dau. of Michael and Mary. I should now be able to get her siblings too, and maybe the marriage as well.

With no Broadband, the images take forever to load, but it's definitely worth it! Once I have waded through Laindon I will try for the other parishes and see what comes up.

Hi

I've just come across this family as I'm researching on behalf of friends who are descended from Elizabeth Ann Stone (1834).

I had found the other 3 children (including George, who died), but I wondered if you'd managed to discover anything further.

Elizabeth first married James Wright and then Charles Sneezem.

Thanks

Stephanie
