Does anyone have access to baptisms for Castle Acre.  I am looking for the baptism of a Maria DARKINS circa 1815 and John DARKINS circa 1813.

i am also looking for darkins in the castle acre regin a few have canuel as their middle name

Hello blanchy,

You don't say what dates you are looking at for your Darkins.

Some of the Castle Acre parish registers are online and free to view.

I did find one person with the christian name Canawell - baptised in Castle Acre in 1796 by a Thomas and Elizabeth Darkins (late Atkins)

my john  darkins was born c1813 cookstool castleacre and married catherine smith 17/1/1738 at castle acre they had henry b1838,robert cannawell born 5/3/1840 and james b 1843 all born at castle acre then they had martha frances christ 28/4/1844.thomas chrs 13/9/1846, bawdeswell, then francis elizabeth 1849 dunham,norfolk ,thenjacob chrs 6/10/1850 castle acre,and elijah b1857, then the family moved to canningtown west ham essex as their son alfred was born there,
john darkins was a tailor and he died 1872 west ham essex'
my grt grt grandfather is robert canuel darkins who married mary jane whiffenin 1859 and he died 1902 west ham any infornation on this family would be very grateful .thank you lynette
