Title: *COMPLETED*Papakura Cemetery - Methodist 1936
Post by: Janoz on Sunday 10 June 07 00:21 BST (UK)
Is there someone in Papakura who can tell me where this burial took place?
All I have is
Hubert Gorton NELMES buried 1936 Papakura Cemetery - Methodist section.

Since he lived near where the Auckland Harbour Bridge now stands this seems to be an odd place for him to be buried.

If anyone can tell me what is written on his grave I would be very grateful.

Cheers

Hi there I can check for you I will head up to the local library as they have a book which has listings of everyone in the cemetery.  But if it is an un-marked grave you may have to go back to the Papakura District Council.  They are really helpful as we located my uncle's un-marked grave in the Methodist childrens section.  And well now he has a head stone.  Will get back to you during the week.
Cheers

Hi
Thanks SOOO much for going to the trouble of checking for me.

Fingers crossed that it's not an unmarked grave and he's there for some interesting reason, eh? ;D

Cheers
