I note from the 1901 entry that she was aged 25 b Poplar

This is her birth ref

Mary Elizabeth Bradnam September quarter 1875   Poplar
Volume: 1c  Page: 692

You need to buy a copy of her birth cert to confirm her parents names but this may be the 1881 census for her although the image shows BRADMAN (see marriage below)

Address - Wallington Grove Lewisham

Robert 51 General labourer b Suffolk Withersfield
Elizabeth 41 b Worcs ? Beardley
Mary 5 b Poplar
Emily 3 b Poplar

Possible marriage

Name: Robert Bradnam /Elizabeth Moseley
December qtr 1872   Pancras  London Volume: 1b  Page: 81

1891 census 36 Larkspur Rd Lewisham - again spelt Bradman

Robert 60 b Suffolk Withersfield
Elizabeth 50 b Worcester
Mary 15 b Poplar
William 8 b Kent - Sydenham

1871 census for Bromley St Leonard London

Robert Bradman 41 b Withersfield Suffolk
Mary 40 wife b Cambridge
Elizabeth Hammond 77 widow - mother in law b Cambridge

Robert Bradnam / Mary Hammond June qtr 1859
Linton  Cambridgeshire Volume: 3b  Page: 806

1861 for Horseheath

Elizabeth Hammond 66 widow b Cambridge
Robert Bradman son in law 29 b Suffolk
Mary Bradman 30 wife b Cambridge

So Robert was a widower when he married Elizabeth

This is from the IGI

Hi CaroleW,
Sorry this is not the one.
My MARY ELIZABETH BRADNAM married  (Frederick James Williams).
Their son was called FREDERICK WILLIAM JAMES it's a bit confusing with the names so close.
Many thanks for all your efforts and time.

Re:  Mary Elizabeth Bradnam.  She is the daughter of Robert Bradnam and Elizabeth Moseley.  Other siblings are Elizabeth Bradnam and Robert William Bradnam.  I am quite interested in any info you may have on Mary and her husband.

Robert William and Emily emigrated to Canada around 1910.  Robert William is my grandfather.

You do not appear to have read this thread as all the information you are asking about is already recorded here

Mary Elizabeth BRADNAM became Mary Elizabeth WILLIAMS - see original message and replies

Their son was Frederick William James WILLIAMS - not Bradnam and his birthdate is already shown in the opening message

Your connection to the surname Bradnam appears to be via her brother - Robert William Bradnam

If you are now extending your research to include the Williams side of the Bradnam ancestry then you need to check freebmd for the marriage of Frederick William James WILLIAMS

Since the earlier post, I have found the marriage and birth on the free bdms. Now to look at the 1901 census and the London sources to confirm actually dates.

I also realise now that you were not the person that made the original request, my apologies.

Hello Kay

Welcome to Rootschat  ;D

According to their profiles, Timbee made one post and was last online her in 2007 and John, the original poster, hasn't been online here since 2008 but this isn't his line, its for a friend.

If they have changed their email addresses or switched off notifications they won't know, unfortunately, that you have joined in.

I suggest you wait and see what the weekend may bring, fingers crossed.

The marriage for Mary Elizabeth Bradnam & Frederick James William can be found on the freebmd site (freebmd.rootsweb.org no www required) at Lewisham registration district in 1899.

As to sources, the LMA London dataset has only been available online since September. The entry isn't on the LMA dataset meaning they married in a church that has not deposited its registers at the LMA, the church isn't Anglican (the dataset only includes deposited Anglican registers not Catholic, Methodist etc), they married in a register office, synagogue or Friends Meeting House, or the record hasn't been transcribed yet, the project is still ongoing.
