Hi Marhat
Are you sure about Harriet's maiden name?
"Pertaim" returns no search results at all in any of the Censuses or birth, marriage or death registrations.
And do you have their marriage certificate? It will of course name Harriet's father...

thank you so much, i have never heard of Periam as a surname before, was there many when you did your search, i wonder where it comes from
-
Hi again Marhat
If memory serves, most of the Periam search results came from the west country. Suggest you try entering the surname on FreeBMD to get a feel.
It's a shame that Henry was so vague about his birthplace - London?. Perhaps he didn't know himself!

Re Periam
I have just begun to include this family in my research - the screw manufacturing Periam family lived in Shirley, Solihull. Herbert William Periam b: c.1791 & Mary Jane b: c.1797 Had 3 children that I know of. Herbert Bonnet Periam b: 1879, John Shirley Periam b: 1880 (married Alice Maude Turner), Charlotte Ann Periam b: 1883 (married Arthur Brewster)
The Periam nuts & bolts business is still operating in Birmingham.
An old post I know, & you've probably found this by now, but it is nice to put the families together.
