Not sure what the coverage for Lancashire is like, but is it possible to find details for anyone in the county with the surname STRINGFELLOW, between about 1700 and 1850, probably in the Chorley/Eccleston area?

This insn't really family related but my best friend died when I was in the Navy. I was away and did not know
what had happened until I returned his family had moved and all I knew was that he was buried in Woodside Cemetary in Benfleet Essex..it would be nice to visit his grave...His name was James Doherty and he died about 20 years ago.

Hi Kapajoy51

Thanks for your kind offer.

Could you look for the surname Thorpe in East Sussex.  If there are lots of them, the ones that are most likely to be of interest will be located in Hastings, Fairlight, Pett and Guestling.

Thanks in advance.

Kind regards

Roger

thank you for your offer of a look up in the burial index

Can you please see if you have a death for James Mayhew and Mary Mayhew (nee Smy)

They married 14 August 1797 at Marys Parish Church Coddenham Suffolk.

I do not have any other information on them yet. I have requested a 1841 census look up on the sufffolk board to see if we can find them.

If you can help me I would be grateful.
Regards

I'm currently trying to tie down the links between all the Carvers in the Hull area. Most are related. I've got lots of births and marriages but a sad dearth of deaths. Any chance you could do a look up for E Yorks Carvers from about 1800 onwards?

Many thanks

Thank you for your kind offer!

When you have a moment, would you be kind enough to see if you can find any reference to the burial place of:

David Polhill GREENE who died on 5th January 1854 in Somers Town, St Pancras, Middlesex.

I have tried unsuccessfully to find his resting place - any help you can offer would be so much appreciated.

Best wishes

Lyn S

Hi,
Ihave a problem with the Burial PLACE of Lewis Morgans Died 2 April 1884 Cymmer Porth Rhondda.Burial therfore by about 7 April1884.

Residence was probably in River Terrace or EiRW Road. in Britannia ,Porth

He is not buried in any of the recognized burial Grounds for the Area.

I have looked under Morgan LEWIS in case an error was made at the time of Burial and name reversed.

Also considered that he was taken back to birth place Redberth in Pembrokshire.

Even tried how far a Horse drawn Hearse could travel in a round trip .

No obituaries in obvious Papers though as local Post Master and Busiman would have expected something.

Wife who e predeceased and other family including children and grandchildren TRESEDER  buried in Trealaw in family graves.

So with the above information  if you can look at the index you have for Lewis Morgan(s )I would be extremely grateful as he has disappeared or somebody forgot to make a record!!and anything would be appreciated.

Season's Greetings ,
Sue in LLantrisant

Hi Kapajoy,

thank you for your kind and generous offer. I am hoping that  you can find any Jones buried at St Oswalds, Ashbourne, Derbyshire. There could be quite a few but they are all mine. I hope this isn't stretching your generosity too far. I have the memorial inscriptions for St Oswalds church but only one of my Jones is on it.  I know there should be more.

Thanks Angela.

Also on the 2nd edition Alfred John Clouder. Possibly early 1920's. In Surrey. His father Alfred Clouder between 1864 & 1868. Middlesex.

Very much appreciated.

hi kapajoy,

thank you for you very generous offer. When you are not too busy with the other look ups, could you please do a look up for any Prices in Warminster, Wiltshire. Mainly around the Common, but will take any that you find, that is if it covers that area.

thanks again
