Hi
Just a thought, you could write or email our local evening paper Evening Gazette, every week there is an article about where are they now, people's old photo's, old service comrades trying to organise reunions, if you send this info I bet they would publish it and that way people in the area of Middlesbrough and surrounding ares will read try here

Good luck

Nutty, is that on a particular day as I don't normally get the Gazette but that sounds interesting, or is it online?
My old english teacher at Whinney Banks was called Devine, can't remember his first name. He was a small man, and I remember him talking about the war.
I know someone from M'bro on another site called Sample, I'll ask them if Leonard is a relly.

Hi Caroline
I have just been looking at your post about the Bashfords.
In my family tree I have a William Henry Bashford, born Middlesbrough 1865.
He Married Mary Elizabeth Purvess, she was born 1872 in North Ormsby.
She was my husbands Great Grandfathers sister.
I have William & Mary, with four children.
Thomas H Bashford 1890 born North Ormsby.
Ester 1894, born North Ormsby,
Dorothy 1901 born Middlesbrough.
Eleanor 1902 born Middlesbrough.
Could they be members of your husbands family?
Regards Kathc

Hi Caroline
The father of William Henry, was Edward Bashford 1815 born Lye, Worcester, England.
His Mother was Mary Dike c1822, born Dudley, Worcester.
He was the youngest of 12 children.
This info is from another family members tree, so how accurate it is I do not know, but it gives all the names of his brothers and sisters, and some of there spouses and children, there is a lot of info so if you want it all, it will take a few days to relay it to you as I only ever get on the computer after midnight as my boys hog it.
Regards Kathc

wow! that is all the info i eed to know you are related to my husband! i also have 3 kids so this is just a quick mesage, i will put more detail latr. My husband descends from edward bashford's brother benjamin, which means that william henry bashord was benjamin's nephew.
this is very exciting! if you send me your email through the pm, i can send you an invite to look at our bashford family tree on ancestry. if you don't want to do this then i can still let you have all the ino i have through this website. my husband is a bashford and all his family still live in middlesbrough.

Hi there,
My Whiteheads were from Middlesbro (before that Stockton, Durham and before that Eston, etc, etc) Anyway you could attach the photos so we could see them here? Sorry but I'm very new to this so I don't know how to 'pm' you my email address.
Another idea is to put them on 'This is the North East' website - http://www.communigate.co.uk/ne
They have loads of old photo's, reunions, etc and are always adding to their collection.
Regards,
Sheridan
