Can anyone help please, I am new to this . I have a copy of the 1911 census for the townland of Monroe, civil parish of Clonoulty, Co. Tipperary.
I would like any info. on these
Patrick Farrell b. 1866
Honora (nee Dwyer) b. 1871
They married c. 1890
John b. 1898
Mary b. 1900
Stephen b. 1902
Katie b. 1903
Margaret b. 1905
Bridie b. 1907
James b. 1911
and another son born 1913 Thomas.
the surname on the census is Farrell but later relatives are called O'Farrell
If anyone can point me in the right direction I would be very pleased

Hi Maidstone Maid,
your next step should be to get a copy of their marriage certificate and then their birth certificates. You will be able to cross reference the father's names and details on each cert to help you confirm that you have the correct families.
Farrell and Dwyer are fairly common names.

Thanks i will try, do you know where i can get the certificates?. One problem I have is that i don't know where they married or the full date. I wondered if Irish records are held at Kew, any ideas/.

BMD Records for the whole of Ireland up to 1921 are held in Dublin.

Back in june you gave me the name of a couple who could be the parents of granfather Patrick farrell born 1866 in Tipperary..william and katie farrell.
You also gave me details of who could be Patrick's wife Honora Dwyer.
Can you point me in the right direction to find out more about these people. Sorry it has been a while but circumsances meant I could not look them up earlier

Parents of Patrick Farrell were William Farrell and Mary Ahern. The birthdate I have been given for William Farrell is 1844 Tipperary. He and Mary Ahern were married in Annacarty in 1861 when he would have been sixteen.
