Title: Uncle Tom
Post by: xbutcherboy on Monday 21 May 07 23:48 BST (UK)
After sitting on the sideline for the last year or so to please my little sister
I'll try to send this picture taken about 1942 and if it works would appreciate any attempt at repairs

Bob, do you have a date for the photo?  I have a photo of my granny wearing almost the exact same coat and hat yout mother is wearing, and would love to know a precise date.

Just noticed your post today  -my sister thought she was about 10 or 11 at the time of picture so that would make it about 1943 or 44 but the coat was probably purchased( or donated ) previously.

Thanks Yvonne
I still am a bit awed by the ability of all the restorers I have attempted to do a few myself but use the excuse of my age as the reason I'm not able to grasp it
