Can anyone help with a look up on the 1861 census please? :-\
I have been trying, without success to find William (c1814), Jane (c1816) BLUNDELL & children, all born St Pancras on the 1861 census. ::)
In 1851 they were living in Caroline Place, St Pancras. The family comprised of;
William, 36, Wood Sawyer.
Jane, Wife, 34.
Eliza, Dau, 13.
James, Son, 6.
Emma, Dau, 3.
George, Son, 1.
In 1871 William was a widower living in Ashby St, St Pancras.
William, 57, General Labourer.
Ellen, Dau, 16.
William, Son, 11.
Many Thanks,
Clare. :)

Hi Tom,
Many thanks for checking for me but I don't think they are my family as they would have been older.

I can't see them at all in the 1861. I don't think it's the family in Thanet place - the ages, occupation and birthplaces are all wrong.
Per the GRO BMD's a Jane Blundell died in St Pancras in 1856. If that was William's wife, who was the mother of William b. 1860?
There are a couple of William Blundell marriages in St Pancras on the LDS site. One in 1856 is to a Jane Woodford - that is probably the Thanet Place family. There is another in 1857 to Susannah Wright, who appears to have died in St Pancras in 1865 per the GRO.

Can't find 8 Ashby Street, Pancras, in the 1861 census: RG9/117 ends at number 7, RG9/118 starts at number 23

Hi, just your luck, 8-22 is listed as missing on the index.

Thank you both for trying to find my William Blundell & family.
I think Jane died in 1862, I have sent for the certificate so if it is the right one hopefully I may get some more clues as to their whereabouts. ::)
Thanks again,
Clare. :)
