Hello.
Is there anyone out there who knows why the Howard Estate in Bury was so called.

Concillor Paul Hofensperger was born on the Howard housing estate and represents the St Olave's Ward of Bury St Edmunds (which includes that estate).

Housing developments are often named after people who have been involved with the development  or for a prominent towns person at the time of the building work.

Why not email Paul and see if he knows, if he doesn't I bet he will know how to find out via Edmundsbury Borough Council  ;)
