Richard Farmer [who's shown in the 1851 census residing in Oxfordshire] is shown in the 1841 census as born in and living in Shilton Berkshire with his wife Jane [aged 34] & daughter Rhoda [age 12]

Hi Doug
Thanks for the info, Excellent.
A couple of questions if I may.
In the 1851 census was Richard Farmers occupation a Stone Mason?
Regarding Eliza Farmer in the 1841 census was there a “Richard Willett” nearby, by any chance. He’d be around the same age.
Kind regards and thank you once again.
Simon.

At Christchurch college Eliza was a domestic servant. There was a William Willetts aged 25 a servant.

Hi
In 1851 Richard is indeed listed as a mason and his wife is a school mistress. There's also a son William [aged 24] who's a blacksmith. They also have a lodger Joseph Horn, an agricultural labourer, aged 19.
Hope this helps
