Could anyone please help me with a look up in the 1841 + 1851 Census., I am looking for:
Richard Tearle ( Thearle ) ( he died in Leighton Buzzard in 1855 )
Also another Richard Tearle ( thearle ) ( who died in 1850 in Leighton Buzzard )
Any help i would be very greatful for, this family is a very hard one to crack.

Hi Jackie
What ages would these Richards have been in 1841?
(I can't see either of them on the NBI as having been been buried in Leighton-Buzzard)
In the meantime I'll see what I can find in 1841 - haven't got 1851 I'm afraid)

Hi Jackie
A number of Tearles in Leighton Buzzard in 1841 but no Richards that I could see I'm afraid.
Re my previous comment re the NBI, these stop for L-B at 1852 so the 1855 burial would not show, but the earlier one should be there.
Good luck
David

Hi Jackie - apologies for delay as I have only just got your message here...although I believe a friend of mine, Cyndi, mentioned your message and I tried to reply but got a mail delivery failure.
However - what do you mean we Richard Tearle's are a nightmare!!! Anyway, I don't think we Tearles are connected to Thearles although no link has been established, nor has it been entirely ruled out. I have a Yahoo group for us Tearles which you are welcome to come along and join and ask your questions, though I feel you'll get the same answer from our 'experts'. The Tearles were most definitely Bedfordshire rooted if that's any help.
If you want to look at the group, its on:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/tearle
Maybe hear from you soon?
Cheers
Richard (Tearle!!)
