I've noticed a death registration for an Elizabeth Sarah CLOAKE age 70 in the September quarter 1891 Elham registration district ref. 2a 521
Also, an Elizabeth Sarah CLOAKE age 62 b.Barham, Kent in the 1881 census running a lodging house at 12 Cheriton Place, Folkestone RG11/1010 folio 110 page 30. Different birthplace from the 1851 census but I do wonder if this could be her. Have you found her on the (1891?) 1871 and 1861 census to try and confirm (or find a consistent given) birthplace?

Thank you all so much . You have been a great help . Now I have another problem if William and Elizabeth were not married untill 1851 . Who were the three childrens father . As William's first wife did not die untill 1845 . These children were born before that . Regards Cloke ??? ???

Hello Cloke
The only way you can check their parentage is by buying the birth certificates or finding their baptisms.
I have had a very quick look on the IGI but cannot see baptisms for them - you may want to check.
If William's first wife (Mary Alice?) died in 1845 the 2 older daughters are probably her's and William's. Harriet could be a daughter of William and Elizabeth born before their marriage. This could be her birth ref from Free BMD
Births Mar 1847
Cloke Harriet Maria Elham 5 169
I can't immediately see birth refs for the 2 older girls that fit the census info. Will do a further check.

I think the 2 older girls were Elizabeth Coppings' daughters. See these birth refs from Free BMD

COPPING Louisa Canterbury 5 70
Dec 1846

Hi Cloke
Have you seen copy of Elizabeth Sarah's 1851 marriage entry/certificate ie. does it give her father's name?
On the birth certifcate for the child that you have, does it give a maiden name for Elizabeth?

Casalgudi . Charles Copping is the name on the marriage certificate. On the other there is no maiden name on it . only Charles Copping as father . The marriage certificate only has William and Elizabeth mark X . Sorry I cannot be any more help to you . Cloke
