PS
When I put in a couple of your grandfather's names into NAA search [seeCando's link] a possible record of interest came up for a man named.....
Arthur Percival Howard Latimer.
Unusual names. Possibly a relative.
You might be able to get more info. from the NAA

Hi Sue
You and I have an interest in burials ;D ;D
I posted those details last night [no actual burial noted for RL] but for some reasons the post didn't go through.
Ida Ord and JH [John Henry] are Richard's and Robert's parents - from birth records for SA.
I have offered to follow up with details of other LATIMERS in SA - will do it by pm - as someone said to me once, just lots and lots of names :)
Cheers for now

Goodo!
Wonder where J.L. is?
I have had in my own family history, the burial record and a MI at one place but the actual burial somewhere else and this seems to be the implication for R.L. Latimer.
Very misleading.
You are welcome Ashe

Hi Sue
Richard Leslie LATIMER was killed in action in France on 5 Nov 1916. Hence only a MI. [2nd post on thread]
I did a search at Centennial Park and found Robert Deane LATIMER - cremation record only.
Wonder where JH Latimer is buried?
Cheers

I have not had a chance to prove much of it...just the Vic & NSW b.d.m's
Which sibling of Arthur's do you descend from?
Harold T, Percival J, John, Agnes or Richard?
Must follow through as I noticed a Stella Mena Latimer m 1926 a John Perkins Seers

Hi Mezza123
Many thanks for the info.
Re the Morgan's & Furlongs I can confirm. Have info of the Morgan's back to the late 1700's, and the Furlong's Mauritian history, but nothing earlier.
Re PH Latimer....your info was the same as I was lead to believe, but have found parts of it to be incorrect.
I am Richard's daughter.
Will send you a pm.
