Title: Custy family, Kilcurrish, Fountain Cross
Post by: keillor on Sunday 06 May 07 18:26 BST (UK)
Would be grateful for any info on the family of Patrick Custy, who lived at Kilcurrish, between Toonagh and Fountain Cross, in the 1880's and 1890's. Twice widowed, he married Mary McKee in 1890, and they had 3 children, Michael, Thomas and Daniel. Patrick also had 6 children by his previous marriages.

Just came across this site and these postings by accident. I’m originally from the area.

I believe that member(s) of the Custy Family lived in the area up until the late 1950s or early 60s, when the last family members died. The shell of Custy’s house and a farm outhouse building existed up to some years ago at least and may still be visiable. It’d doesn’t seem possible to locate the area in Google Maps.
