Do you know for a fact that he married Charlotte Hill because there is a William unmarried born 1831 in the right place.

yes William married Charlotte Hill JunQ 1851 - that means Mar/Apr/June. The census for 1851 was taken 30th March, so unless you know that they wed between 1st March and 30th March they would still be single.

I cannot find a Charlotte Wallwork but I can find a Charlotte Hill with her family and a Wm Wallwork with his family. Are they of any use to you.

Yes that was the one I was suggesting and then in 1851 he is not yet married. Also mother Alice may have died to be replaced by an Ellen

Well he was only 10 - would you expect him to be married?

yes William married Charlotte Hill JunQ 1851 - that means Mar/Apr/June.

Apr/May/June  ;) - so, as you say, with the census taken on 30 March it makes sense that he's unmarried
